Frequently asked questions about Modern Light Bulbs
What replacement bulbs does MOD LIGHTING sell?
Which base does my fixture take?
Should I choose warm white or cool white?
Are these bulbs dimmable, and do they save energy?
How many packs should I buy?
Replacement LED light bulbs for MOD LIGHTING fixtures, in three bases, each dimmable and sold in packs of six. The one check before ordering is the Light Source line on the Dimensions & Specs tab of your fixture's product page, which names the base it takes.
Three bases, one job
The G9 LED Dimmable Bulb is the compact two-pin base that pushes in rather than screws. The E14 LED Dimmable Bulb is the smaller screw base, and the E26 LED Dimmable Bulb is the standard screw base. Each comes six to a pack in warm white 3000K or cool white 6000K, at CRI 90.
Choosing in order
Base first, because the three are not interchangeable. Temperature second: 3000K warm white for living rooms, bedrooms and dining, 6000K cool white where crisp task light matters more than atmosphere. Quantity last: count the fixture's sockets and buy whole packs, keeping the spares from the same pack so later replacements match in tone.
Keeping a fixture even
A multi-arm piece looks right when every socket matches, which is the reason these sell six at a time. Relamping the whole fixture together, rather than one socket as it fails, keeps the light even across the piece. The modern chandeliers and modern ceiling lights these bulbs fit each list their light source, and the wider hardware and accessories range covers the other finishing parts.
Match the base, then the temperature, then buy enough to relamp the whole piece at once.
