Smart lighting earns its place outdoors, where the useful setting changes through the evening: on at dusk, dimmer late, brighter when someone is at the door. This page holds the two app-controlled lights in the range, both versions of the Haylen exterior wall light.

Two smart lights, both Haylen

Haylen (Smart Lights) is the standard version: three color temperatures with dimming, adjustable from the MOD Smart app or by remote control. Haylen RGB (Smart Lights) covers the full color spectrum instead, with ten preset effects for the evenings when color is the point. Both are long horizontal LED wall lights rated IP65, built on the same body as the non-smart Haylen. The intelligent part lives in the app.

Length, height and control

Both run eight lengths, from 12 inches to 94. Mount at 66 to 72 inches from the ground to the center. At setup, group the lights by zone in the app, so the front of the house and the patio can run different schedules without touching a switch.

What the app changes

The everyday setting is warm and low, the mood a facade wants after dark; raise it for a delivery, and let the RGB version cover a holiday. Grouped by zone, the lights run as one system from your smartphone. Both sit within the wider modern outdoor lighting range, next to the long strip wall lights they are built on.
