Frequently asked questions about Aurelius
What defines the Aurelius Collection?
Which pieces does the collection include?
Where does sculptural lighting like this work best?
What finishes does the collection come in?
What size chandelier do I need?
A ceiling light usually tries to disappear. Aurelius does the opposite: an irregular, icicle-cut edge running through every piece, jet black iron against a polished stainless steel bar, with enough visual weight to hold a ceiling with the light switched off.
One edge, three positions
One design language runs through three pieces. The Aurelius Chandelier anchors the room, in single or double layers up to 41 inches across. The Aurelius Pendant carries the same border into a single drop for islands and tables, and the Aurelius Sconce turns it horizontal for the wall. All three come in jet black or polished gold and run warm white at 3000K, CRI 90.
Sizing the statement
Length plus width in feet, read as inches, is the sizing shortcut for the chandelier, so a 14 by 18-foot dining room starts around 32 inches. Hang the pendant 30 to 36 inches above a table and mount the sconce at 60 to 65 inches. All three are dimmable with a standard wall dimmer.
What to put beside it
Give the pieces some room, where the edge shows against clean walls or a darker palette the black can anchor. Mix it with warm-toned table lamps in ceramic, wood, or linen for the layer a ceiling piece cannot reach, keeping the metal temperatures aligned, warm beside warm. In a dining room, let the chandelier lead and pick the supporting layer from the dining room light fixtures.
Choose the anchor first, then let the pendant and sconce repeat the line.
