Alabaster is one of the few materials in lighting with a glow of its own. Velina layers panels of the natural stone over solid brass, so the light arrives soft and filtered, and one language carries from ceiling to wall to tabletop.
Brass structure, alabaster glow
Four pieces carry it through a home. The chandelier stacks layered alabaster panels on a brushed gold brass frame, 21.75 inches across, in three sizes. The Velina Pendant draws the same pairing into a 49-inch linear form for a table or island, the sconce brings the layers to the wall, and the Velina Table Lamp sets them on a console.
Choosing and placing Velina
Add the room's dimensions in feet and read the total as inches of chandelier, so a 12 by 14-foot room lands around 26 inches. Hang the pendant 30 to 36 inches above a table or island and mount the sconce at 60 to 65 inches. Every piece runs warm white at 3000K, and most MOD indoor lights are compatible with a standard wall dimmer.
Where stone light belongs
Velina suits rooms built on warm neutrals, wood, linen, cream, plaster. The brass ties it to the gold light fixtures elsewhere in the house, and the stone keeps evening light soft where glass or metal would sharpen it. The sconce sits among our other wall lights, and because the panels are layered rather than solid, each piece changes as you move around it.
Choose for the room you sit in after dark, then carry the same stone next door.
